YA for Obama

Then do what 16-year-old Preston Fosback did: Set up a webcam to catch the culprits. In just a few days, more than 40,000 viewers from all over the world have stood virtual guard over his homemade yard sign. You too can watch the live streaming video by going here. It's oddly mesmerizing. And when a squirrel darts across the grass or a car drives by it's like, OOH! A SQUIRREL. AHH! A CAR!

As for my own Obama/Biden merchandise, I'm lucky to live in a very Democrat blue, Obama-friendly town. If someone were to take my lawn sign or car magnet, I would assume the thief wanted it for his/her own yard or car. But I've heard from others who live in more purple-to-red regions whose stuff was swiped for more nefarious reasons.

(Pssst...And while we're on the subject...Has anyone been tempted to take down/vandalize McCain/Palin paraphernalia?)

I live in the city, so we don't have yards for signs. But I did have an inclination to steal a sign over the weekend to stick it on my brother's yard (he's an Obama supporter). Only I couldn't find any on my route to his house. S. Jersey needs to step it up.
What city do you live in, if you don't mind me asking.

I live in San Antonio, and we still have yards all over the city.
love the tag "awesome 16 year olds", haha. and yes, tempted to vandalize but a) too scared/sure i'll be caught and b) i honestly haven't seen any recently (though most of my time is spent on a college campus...)
there are McCain/Palin signs all over Phoenix and I want so badly to steal them all and burn them. I got very close to taking one out of my neighbors yard once.
" It's oddly mesmerizing. And when a squirrel darts across the grass or a car drives by it's like, OOH! A SQUIRREL. AHH! A CAR!"
Wow. It's like watching movies in class.
I give McCain/Palin stickers the Look of Doom (TM) whenever I happen too see them. That's as far as my vandilization goes.
However, on a related issue, I do flip off Hummers. ^.^
There are basically all of 10 Republicans in my little town. Of course there is a house I often pass while walking to school that tries to make up for this number by putting 10 signs McCain/Palin signs INSIDE their front window. I'm fairly sure they used to be outside but apparently there were just too many Obama fans...
I haven't seen any McCain/Palin paraphenalia, but mostly because I'm away at a very liberal college in the heart of a very liberal city. (I'm buying my 'Smithies for Obama' shirt this week! =D )

During the primaries, though, (there was a house down my street with a HUGE banner on the side of their house for Mitt Romney. (And I mean huge, like, it covered the whole side of their house. It was obnoxious. And it was there for a long time after he lost, too, now that I think about it.)

I didn't really want to tear it down, cause I figured he wouldn't win anyways.
But I live in Massachusetts, so all I could keep thinking was, "Mitt was our own governor for how many years, and you can see how much good that did us, and you STILL want him to be President? Sometimes I just don't understand."
I mean, really.
My entire town is Republican, it seems. All of my neighbors have the signs . . . we haven't put an Obama one up, but I had, like, four buttons on my school bag, and all four have been taken off.
Rude . . .
Someone stole my Obama pin on my bag. I was devastated. It was a nice pin.
(I live in Arizona. I used to live in Illinois.)
I was just checking in on the live feed and a kid on a scooter went by and I swear I nearly jumped out of my office chair: Is that a scoot--omigod! It's a scooter! A scooter!

I kid you not.
Hahaha.
While my mom was driving me to school this morning, we passed a large house with a HUGE McCain and Palin sign in front of their house. She immediately commented that we need to put another sign next to it proclaiming, "this is one of my seven houses. I want a president who can relate to me." I think we should do it.
