YA for Obama

Regardless of who is elected, I know who the real leader is.

God simply does not approve of Obama's treatment of children in the womb.

"This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: I am the LORD, who has made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself,
Isaiah 44:23-25 (in Context) Isaiah 44 (Whole Chapter)

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart. Jeremiah 1:4-6 (in Context) Jeremiah 1 (Whole Chapter)

McCain understands when life begins. Even with two daughters Obama has no clue.

How many commandments have you broken? Did you support it or condone it?

How about me you might ask? All ten.

Yes, abortion is murder. Denying this fact only mocks God.

The great thing is that Jesus forgives. All you have to do is accept and ask for forgiveness.

No God No Peace
Know Jesus Know Peace

God is in charge. We are just electing a President.
Now, go vote your conscience.

It is not my will. It is His will.
"seperation of church and state" wasn't intended to keep church (GOD) out of government...it was meant to keep government out of churches. Everyone is so concerned about making this country great again, but as long as we are killing our children we as a nation will never prosper as we did prior to 1973...Ezekial speaks of pagan nations who sacrified their newborns to false gods...idolatry...they actually delivered them then placed them on the red hot hands of their idols, burning them alive. Those nations are no longer in existence. Coincidence? No, God wiped them out for their idolatry. And anyone who believes this nation isn't doing the same thing now is decieved. We may not bow down to physical idols, but we instead use as idols OUR will, OUR lifestyles, OUR feelings, OUR fears, OUR convenience, OUR desires, etc. Anything, ANYTHING, that is placed above our relationship with Christ is an idol...a job, boyfreind, husband, career...whatever. We as a nation have turned our backs on GOD and whether Oprah likes it or not, HE is a jealous God, and we aren't going to get away with it forever...And with our new president we have put ourselves in a place where judgement is on its way...We had a chance to turn back to God in this election, and we didn't. God have mercy on us
First of all, please remedy your crippling ignorance by investing in a history book or two. Failing that, read some other comments refuting your inanities.

Seriously? When did this happen? Do you need me to go on a Founding Fathers quote attack?

Those nations are no longer in existence. Coincidence? No, God wiped them out for their idolatry.

Classic. You have combined religious fear mongering with a textbook post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy. Bravo.

As for everything following this point, your religious arguments all suffer the same fatal flaw: an absolute paucity of evidence in their favor. You are free to accept such dogmatic propositions, but please remember that until you can provide some rational or empirical argument in their favor, we are completely justified in ignoring you.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion." This is the Establishment Clause, I would assume, and it is read as meaning that there is a separation between church and state, or do you take it to mean that laws can be created based upon Christian morals as long as they don't say, "We're a Christian country"? That's rather sneaky, don't you think?
I will assume you are referring to the First Amendment to the Constitution. The First Amemdment was to keep government from interfering in the church, not vice versa.

It becomes federal when a candidate for federal office supports abortion.

Abortion is certainly not an invented moral issue. That is like saying Susan Smith drowning her two children strapped in the back seat of her car is an invented moral issue.
Yes, I agree it isn't an invented issue. There is a problem when considering whether denying somebody's opportunity at life is right. However, in some cases having a child would ruin the mother's life and the child's life. And an already alive human being has slightly more priority over a developing fetus. That's right, fetus. The thing inside the mother is a cluster of multiplying cells. In the mother's body. Whether it's right or not, it's not up to the government to dictate what we do to our bodies.

When something becomes a federal issue, it becomes of issue of human rights, which is what this issue is. It never was about morals for the Pro-Choice believers.
If NASA found that "cluster of multiplying cells" on the surface of Mars, you can bet they will lay claim to "discovering life on Mars", but not in the womb?

As a society we need to sanctify life at its most elemental state. We need to glorify this miracle of life. We need to recognize that it is God's choice. No we do not need the government to dictate what we do with our bodies and I have never claimed such. We need to recognize the brutality of abortion and assume a position of self responsibility that respects that "cluster of multiplying cells".
My conscience says vote pro-choice.

I'm sorry, but nobody should vote for a candidate based on your idea of god. I'm an atheist. Many people are of different religions than you, and many people interrpret (sp?) Christianity in different ways. That doesn't make them bad or wrong, nor does it make you bad or wrong-it is all covered in the first amendment.

Speaking of the first amendment, church and state are seperated. You shouldn't vote for someone based on their religion, and their religion should not matter. That is why I'm pro-choice. The pro-choice philosophy recognizes that people have different beliefs. You can choose whether or not to have one based on your beliefs.

No women should be forced into having a child she does not want. That is cruel and inhumane. Women are not baby factories.

"The United States is in no sense founded upon the Christian doctrine."

I'll assume that you are the previous Katie and defer to my earlier response and direct you to my response to Audrey concerning the general perception of the separation of church & state.

Not taking time to look up statistics, It is probably safe to say that most abortions are preformed due to poor choices on the part of the prospective mother.

Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, Religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of Patriotism who should labor to subvert these great Pillars of human happiness.

I disagree entirely, Neal, on pretty much every level. Also, I don't follow your faith, and in the United States, there is a total separation of Church and State. But thank you for coming and telling us what you think. No one can question the strength of your personal conviction on this matter.
Good conversation, eh?

Oh no!! Not that sepatation thing again!!!!!!
I agree with you that nobody should abort their children, and that abortion is murder... But I'm still for Obama. Why? Several reasons:

(1) I don't think the way to handle the abortion issue is just by making it completely illegal. Outlawing abortions won't stop people from having them, and those who do have them, will do it in unsafe conditions.

(2) There's more to the election than abortion. There's no candidate I agree with on every matter, but I'd rather have a good leader who disagrees on this one issue than a horrible leader that just happens to want to outlaw abortion.
