I'm Carrie Jones. I'm a YA author. My first book was Tips on Having a Gay (ex) Boyfriend. My most recent book was Girl, Hero. My next book is called Need. It comes out in late December/January.

Damn, that's a lot of water. We rarely get that much in Wales, which isn't where I live, but I'm half Welsh. Any excuse to mention the heritage and I'm THERE.. haha. But it really does rain A LOT there.

Well, I appreciate the writing advice even if it is just write! I still think it helps to have the opinions of writers around you, because they have the best experience. I've started really enjoying writing short stories, now, for some reason.. I never used to, but I wrote one for a school competition that I won, and I've started to get used to using words more accurately and concisely to convey the meaning I'm exactly going for. It really helps. And hopefully I'll end up writing better from it.
Oh dear, I appear to be neglecting my chemistry homework.. I should probably go and do that now. Ew, balancing equations.. chemistry is so NOT my favourite subject. Did you ever have one that you really hated?

A small group of us got to meet two 'super stars' which is funny because they are as freaked out to meet us as we are them.

While I'm here, I expect you get this a lot, or will end up getting a lot.. but I write. Any, you know, random pieces of advice you could give me? I really liked your idea for Love And Other Uses for Duct Tape, with the writing it and just writing it and not actually doing it in an order. I may steal it.. hahaha. If you don't mind, that is.
I have problems with finishing things, as well. How do you get motivated to finish things?
