I Was On The Front Page!

About Me

Let's see. What is there to say? I am Elayne. I live in the Midwest, USA. I am 12 years old, and I read YA.

I support Barack Obama because just hearing his name gives me hope. I love having hope. I feel bad that for so long I wasn't old enough to care about the fact that our world was being destroyed. Now that I understand, I want to make all the difference I can. I truly believe that young people can make a huge difference and that there is so much for them to do. This is why I joined this website.

Here is some stuff about me. I'm pretty much your typical teenager, who's not yet a teen but sure acts like one. I like guys, I read books, I go to school, I go to the mall, I hang out with friends. But here is where I differ from other people my age. I am a hug nerd. I am openly a hug nerd. I love being a huge nerd. I support Barack Obama and get straight A's and can't play sports and read too many books and wear glasses and use words no one understands and right long sentences like this. I am completely confident in my Nerdiness and I owe all of it to . John and Hank Green have made me totally confident in everything I do and make me want to scream to the world, "I'M A NERD!"

I listen to all kinds of music and read Twilight. I watch almost no TV, but when I do, it is almost always Avatar.

That is my YouTube profile, which is even longer then this I believe.

I'm So Happy

"Why are you so happy, Elayne?"

Well, my friends, I am happy for a simple reason. That reason being: The Internet.

"Why are you just now being happy about the Internet? Hasn't it been around since you were born?"

Yes, my friends, it has. But there is a significent reason that can be witnessed just about anywere on the Web that I am happt about at this moment.

"What is it? Don't keep us guessing forever!"

Okay, the reason is this: Anyone can be someone on the Internet. You, me, my nine year… Continue

"I read YA, and love Obama!"

Telling people about this site is one great thing. If you know anyone who loves Obama and reads YA, then why aren't they here? Huh? Are you afraid to win an Obama Tote Bag that you would have to pay $75.oo for otherwise? Are you? I guess so, huh. So sad...

Anyway. So I've been telling people about the site, sending out emails and such, and the title of this blog post is the reaction I get most often. This website is definitely the place for everyone to be!

It's definitely beyond belief that th… Continue

You Know What Kills Me?

Do you? I'll tell you anyway. What kills me is when kids can't make a difference. You'd think that we would have happy times with women and men, blacks and whites equal. But then there is the fact that adults think that people under 18 aren't intelligent enough to be able to have an opinion in the election. 16 isn't old enough to be smart. The hell it isn't.

I wrote a paper the other day about what I would do if I could do anything, and I wrote about voting in the 2008 Presidential Election. I… Continue
