I went to see a Michael Franti & Spearhead concert last month and I was DELIGHTED when one of their encore songs was a song that they'd written about Barack Obama, his election as President-elect, and his message. Obama Wins, Even Among Children

So, I'm going to the inauguration in January with a program called PYIC (Presidential Youth Inaugural Conference). I am SO excited to go to Obama's inauguration. Anyway, that's not what this blog is about. This blog is about recent polls among the other students that will be attending the conference.

Every Vote Counts

I spent the whole of last night convincing a family friend [Kayla] to vote for Obama.

It was actually a rather enjoyable experience. I read many blog posts from this site to her and she was interested to hear the reasoning behind everyone's opinions. Kayla was well-informed by the end of the evening, thanks largely in part to Scott Westerfeld's blog posts. What I've Been Doing To Raise Awareness

I know how very little I've been doing to raise awareness of issues facing our country today, but I've done SOMETHING, and that counts, right?

At my school's bus stop every morning, I've sort of held court. I'll stand at the spot most people congregate every morning and I'll ask them questions. These questions are about almost ANYTHING.
