About Me

Born and bred in Arkansas, Melissa Francis is a small town southern girl with big city dreams. (Okay, she dreams of big city shoes, but there’s nowhere to wear them ’round these parts. Plus she really is a barefoot girl at heart.) The University of Arkansas at Little Rock allowed her to graduate with an English degree, but many of her friends wonder how when she uses words like y’all, dunno, gonna, and fixin’ to. Her favorite phrase is “Woo Pig Sooie!” and she’ll be glad to explain what that means over a (preferably dark) beer. Unless you’re underage, then she’ll explain over a nice cup of peppermint tea.

Why I'm voting for Obama:
This country needs change. We went from 8 years of surplus and economic highs to war, insurmountable debt, and a failing economy. McCain is not going to bring the change we need.

so angry

Last night, my Obama sign was vandalized.

I'd heard this has been happening quite a bit in the southern states. I am completely disgusted.

What's the purpose of taking my sign down? Did they think I wouldn't go out and buy 10 more to replace it? And what gave them the right to quash my freedom of speech and trespass on my private property?

I will fight tooth and nail for my right to express my opinion. The fight is on.

Has this happened to anyone else?
