Immature Adults.

I am Eighteen years old, I voted for Obama. I went in with my EDUCATED vote and helped choose the future that I believed would help every American! I kept my posts on my personal web pages, as well as YA for Obama. I did not go and upload blog posts trying to convince everyone at YA For McCain to vote for Obama, no--I stuck to my writing here and let the people come two me. I log in this morning with three new blogs to view! One bearing the face of Sarah Palin. It seems the little group… Continue

YA For Obama -- The Future.

We did it, but what is next? Are we all going to forget about this website and go our own ways. If that is what you had in mind I feel that you really did not keep up with everything anyhow. This is a site of change, that change will not be over until Obama serves his both terms [;)] as president. So what can we do as a group to keep the site up and running. We have the Video section--It is obvious things about Obama will be all over YouTube in the upcoming months and years, just because you w… Continue

Bandwagon Effect Anyone?

I am very lucky that most of my friends and family are voting for Obama, but what happens when someone in your family is not going to vote for Obama--what can you do to help change their mind. I took a stand and converted two family members who were planing to vote for McCain, they listened to lies--and after they were shown the light they made a change of mind. I'm glad to say I did this under the influence of my medication, and while I was in extreme pain due to my Lupus... If I can do it und… Continue

“A funny but powerful pumpkin-carving campaign launched by Obama supporters.”

Yeswecarve.com is a PRO-Obama website. It was started by Josh and Bethany Horton (Memphis, TN), Jason Powers (New York, NY), and Josh Jeter (Chicago, IL). The four met in Seattle, WA. Grab your pumpkin carving kit from closet and get to work! Yes We Cave is an amazing website that offers you yet another way to support Obama (another addition to 'What can the youth do… Continue

"You have the right to vote. Period."

Before I get into more reasons why I am voting for Obama, I would like to get a new issue out of the way. I had received an e-mail from Moveon.org talking about issues with voters believing that they had lost their right to vote. Since I have Lupus, my actual volunteering hours are cut WAY BACK. I figured this is the best way that I ca… Continue

"You might as well not vote if you are not educated about the politicians."

Since the election of the second Bush, I have found myself interested in politics. There are many things that I do not understand about politics, as well as many things that I still need to learn. I was watching a news program a few months ago when a political story was on. One of the key points that was made, was the fact that "You might as well not vote if you are not educated about the politicians." Which really perked my interest in the question "WHY am I voting for Obama!?". The main reas… Continue

You can still make a difference! We are hearing from Young Adult authors, what about the Young Adults!?

I love to volunteer, however I am very shy. Can you find the problem? Last Saturday a group of friends and myself went to go canvassing for Obama. I had no idea what canvassing meant, to me its going 'door to door'. If you could have seen the look on my face when I was informed on what canvassing was, my small group of people decided to hang out at the office and make phone calls. You would not believe how immature people on the telephone can be. It was really hard to bite your tongue at some… Continue
